Position Title: Outreach Coordinator
Location: Contra Costa College
Department: APISA Club (Asian Pacific Islander Student Alliance)
Reports To: APISA Club President / Executive Board
Overview:
The APISA Club at Contra Costa College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Outreach Coordinator to enhance the visibility and engagement of our club within the campus and the surrounding community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting Asian Pacific Islander cultures, advocating for student needs, and fostering a supportive environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outreach and Recruitment:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new members to the APISA Club.
- Organize and participate in campus events, fairs, and workshops to promote the club.
- Build partnerships with other student organizations, campus departments, and community groups.
- Communication:
- Create and manage promotional materials, including flyers, social media posts, and newsletters.
- Maintain the club’s social media presence to engage members and the broader community.
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to the club and its activities.
- Event Coordination:
- Assist in planning and executing club events, workshops, and cultural celebrations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure successful outreach initiatives.
- Gather feedback from participants to improve future events and outreach efforts.
- Advocacy:
- Represent the interests of APISA members in discussions with campus administration and other stakeholders.
- Identify and address the needs of Asian Pacific Islander students on campus.
- Reporting and Evaluation:
- Track outreach activities and membership growth, providing regular reports to the club’s executive board.
- Analyze outreach effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled student at Contra Costa College.
- Strong interest in Asian Pacific Islander cultures and student advocacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in event planning, marketing, or outreach is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Commitment: This is a volunteer position requiring a commitment of 2 hours per week, with meetings held weekly.
