Position Title: Communications Chair
Reports To: APISA CCC President / Executive Board

Position Overview:
The Communications Chair is responsible for managing all communication efforts for the student club. This role involves promoting club activities, maintaining relationships with members and external stakeholders, and ensuring effective information dissemination. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and passionate about engaging the club community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and produce engaging content for various platforms, including newsletters, social media, and the club website.
- Social Media Management: Manage the club’s social media accounts, creating and scheduling posts, responding to inquiries, and engaging with followers to promote events and initiatives.
- Event Promotion: Collaborate with event coordinators to create promotional materials (flyers, posters, digital graphics) and strategies to increase attendance and engagement.
- Internal Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the club, including meeting agendas, minutes, and announcements.
- Member Engagement: Foster a sense of community by sharing member achievements and encouraging participation in club activities.
- Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from club members about communication efforts and suggest improvements based on member preferences and trends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other committee chairs and the executive board to align communication strategies with overall club goals.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for the club’s mission and activities.
Time Commitment:
- Attendance at regular club meetings and events.
- Estimated 2 hours a week for planning and executing communication tasks.
